Oh man, what a brutal night! Jacob woke up 3 times last night!!! I woke up feeling like a complete zombie. After I made Sarah’s lunch and popped two waffles in the toaster I ran over to the coffee machine.
J and I spent a couple hours on the couch. I was just not able to move.
At some point I got up and did a load of laundry.
We finally got off the couch and got dressed for the day. I had a couple of things to return and new if I didn’t go today it would expire before I had a chance to go out again. 10 minutes into our drive and J falls asleep. A nap sounded good, but I had things to do. I gave him a few more minutes and then transferred him into the stroller. Thank goodness he transferred.
I walked through Target, bumped into Nikki and her family, and then headed to Party City to do my returns. I really don’t like all the gore and scary things, however I love all the other parts of Halloween.
Thankfully Jacob slept through all my errands and woke up as I was walking to the car. Wow, I never experienced a toddler who sleeps in the stroller. It was kinda nice!
All of a sudden I got really hungry. I sent a text to my friend Miri (who’s always down to hang out) and met up with her for brunch. Jacob wasn’t in the mood to sit and I wasn’t in the mood to make him so he played with his highchair. Yup, I was that mom.
After brunch we headed to the elementary school to pick up Sarah. Jacob loves picking ra-ra (what he calls Sarah) up! He gives her big hugs and then begs to drink her water. Such a funny kiddo! Back home Sarah and I did homework while Jacob played on the rug. He got cranky shortly after so I put him down for a nap. After homework I told Sarah I needed a nap too. I gave her the iPad and went to bed.
Hubby came home around 430 to Sarah still on the iPad and to J and I napping. I could not believe Jacob was still sleeping! A few minutes later he woke up only to fall asleep on my shoulder.
This what happens when you wake up multiple times a night. PS Please let mommy sleep!
After this is when things got messy.
I was trying to cook dinner, but Jacob wouldn’t leave my side, hubby was working on our internet while Sarah came in and out of what seemed like 30 times asking for a snack. We were all cranky and hungry.
Dinner was burgers and baked sweet potatoes.
We cleaned up and headed upstairs for bath and bed. I did manage to get this cute pic of the kiddos.
It was long day, but now the kids are sleeping and hubby and I can rest.
Hope you had a nice 10th!
