Mommy and Me Day

Before Sarah started school I took Sarah on a special Mommy and Me Day!

We started the morning at our favorite spot, Starbucks.

I had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season and Sarah had her drink of choice, chocolate milk.

My silly girl asked if she could take some silly pictures.

We drank our “coffee” and munched on a pumpkin loaf while Sarah colored her Minnie Mouse book.

Next on our Mommy and Me Day was the local library. Between last year’s school schedule and Camp Mommy, we haven’t been going to library as often. 

We hung out for a while and checked out some books.

Before heading home we stopped by our neighborhood park. September has been brutally hot so we didn’t stay too long.

We came back home and made our favorite lunch, grilled cheese.

We had a really nice morning together! Even though it was simple, it was fun. We just did what WE felt like doing. No errands, no agenda, just going with the flow!

I knew as soon as school would start we would have all these commitments so it was important to me to have a day dedicated to just us.

and I’m glad we did!
