One of my favorite recipes my mom makes is a delicious dish called borekas.
Borekas is a thin, flaky dough filled with things like cheese, potatoes, mushrooms or meat.
It’s absolutely delicious!
It’s the perfect mixture of crunch and cheese!
It’s yummy, easy and fun make. So I thought I’d share the recipe here with you.
Step 1: Combine cheese, egg, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
Step 2: Unfold sheets and cut into squares
Step 4: Place 1 teaspoon of mixture in each square.
Step 5: Fold squares into triangles. Pinch sides to seal. You can crimp the sides with a fork if it’s easier.
Step 6: Place borekas on a lightly sprayed baking sheet. Step 7: Brush a light layer of egg wash on each triangle.
Step 8: Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown. This can be served as an appetizer at a party, breakfast or as a light dinner with a side salad.Enjoy!
