Caravan Outpost – Mama Chit Chat

Nestled in the beautiful town of Ojai is a resort called, Caravan Outpost. This completely unique overnight experience has a camping vibe, but it’s definitely more glamping!

We chose their Family Double Airstream, which was perfect for my family of 4. A family Airstream comes with 2 rooms; a queen bed and a bunk bed room. Every Airstream is equipped with a full kitchen, air condition/heat and bathrooms.

We had a great time! Caravan Outpost has such great service! From calling us before we checked in to texting us on the way to Ojai we loved their customer service. They even left us a canvas bag full f goodies.

After we settled in we headed outside to play some games.

We read that they have bikes to rent, but knew they didn’t have rentals for kids. Knowing this we made plans to bring the kids scooters, but ended up forgetting them when packing. So instead I took a quick solo ride around the neighborhood.

When I came back the kids were ready for a walk around town. Love little town feels.

We weren’t ready for a full blown sit down dinner, but we wanted a snack. We walked by Ojai Ice Cream and knew we needed to check it out. Hubby and I got Banana Fudge, Sarah got Honey Lavender and Jacob got Rocky Road. We kept walking around and stumbled upon a park.

It got dark so quickly, but my kids didn’t care and we had the best time in the dark.

It was getting really cold so we headed into Ojai Pizza Company for dinner. While we waited for our pizza the kids played a few games.

I got the Greek pizza. So good!

We walked back to Caravan Outpost and enjoyed the twinkle lights.

We relaxed for a bit in our Airstream before heading out to the fire pits for smores.

We are not morning people, but the buzz on vacation is to exciting for us to sleep in. We grabbed hot cocoa and coffee at the complimentary drink cart.
