For the past few years I’ve hosted a Hot Cocoa Breakfast as a fun way to start the week of Chanukah. Sometimes we’ve invited guests and sometimes it was just us 4.
My breakfasts usually include a make your own parfait station, a protein dish, like egg muffins or an egg casserole and jelly doughnuts or sufganiyot (in Hebrew).
To conclude our breakfast, I always set up a Hot Cocoa Bar in the kitchen.
While shopping at stores in November and December I’m always on the lookout for things that are hot cocoa flavored. I’ve found hot cocoa flavored Hershey kisses, hot cocoa flavored marshmallows, hot cocoa flavored Goldfish cookies and super cute snowman hot cocoa cups.
Last year we turned it into a Jammy Hot Cocoa Breakfast when my sister and her family were visiting.
It’s been such a fun tradition that my kids look forward to all year long.
